Dishes for Dolls est une sorte de spin-off de The Oldest Thing. À partir de ce précédent ouvrage, publié en 2023 (et aujourd’hui épuisé), Ruth van Beek a réalisé une nouvelle sélection d’images, autour des figures récurrentes de la vaisselle et de la table. Ce leporello de douze pages propose une nouvelle exploration de l’univers domestique que l’artiste ne cesse d’interroger dans son travail.

Dishes for Dolls is a kind of spin-off from The Oldest Thing. Based on this previous work, published in 2023 (and now out of print), Ruth van Beek has produced a new selection of images, focusing on the returning figures of the dish and the table. This twelve-page leporello offers a new exploration of the domestic world which the artist questions constantly in her work.
