Feminae Explorarum is a selection of comics often set in vibrant forest worlds, inhabited by women engaged in quiet, personal acts of exploration. Blending myth and realism, Ingrīda Pičukāne challenges expectations of femininity, offering a richly subjective and feminist perspective on what it means to truly observe and exist.
Ingrīda Pičukāne, born and based in Riga, Latvia, studied painting and graphic design in Latvia and animation in Estonia. She currently works as a comics and animation teacher at Riga Art and Media School. She’s passionate about mushroom picking as well as other art projects.
