‘Stone Carriers’ will take you on a true odyssey, starting in early ice age. Through fine lines and lively colours we will learn the journey of stone. Where did it come from and who was its mover? What is men’s relation to stone and how did it change over time? By making the matter, ‘stone’, the main character in her work Melanie offers the spectator the opportunity to look at something as ordinary as stone in a completely different light. For behind the rigid façade, stone is… truly restless matter.
