Bisou Magique – Coll.

The instant a mother kisses her child’s wound, it feels better. Scientifically, nothing happens; logically, nothing actually changes. And yet the emotionally quality of this “bisou magique” can still be remembered by adults from their childhood. ‘Bisou Magique’ was published on the occasion of an eponymous exhibition at Galerie Derouillon, Paris, in 2016. Curated by Yundler Brondino Verlag, founded in 2015 by designer Aurore Chauve and artist Guy Yanai, the show consisted of works by artists from Europe and the United States across three generations. Included are Strauss Bourque-LaFrance, Luc Fuller, Nathalie du Pasquier, Torbjørn Rødland, Stanley Whitney, and Guy Yanai.
